Norfolk and Waveney Mind Welcome New Trustees
We are pleased to be able to confirm the appointment of five new Trustees to the Norfolk and Waveney Mind Board of Trustees.

Benjamin Woodruff

Born and raised in Norfolk, Benjamin Woodruff is a Learning Lead in the charity sector at Via, focusing on digital learning development, data analysis and learning strategy. Alongside working for Via, Ben lectures at UEA in sport and health.

Ben is passionate about the work of Norfolk and Waveney Mind, previously completing Run Norwich in aid of the charity. He has also written two children’s books aimed at promoting emotional intelligence and understanding of mental wellbeing.

Claire Roberts

Claire Roberts retired from the NHS in 2018 after a distinguished career as a senior nurse, including leadership roles in clinical governance and patient safety. Her passion for mental health grew through her work in elderly care, where she saw firsthand how poor mental health often led to hospital admissions.

Since retiring, Claire has chaired Holt & District Dementia Support and served as Parish Safeguarding Officer, supporting families affected by dementia. She is a passionate advocate for ensuring older people receive equal access to mental health support.

Lynn Cutress

Lynn Cutress, Chief Executive of Redwings Horse Sanctuary, brings strong experience of leadership in the charity sector. With a background in fundraising, marketing, and governance, Lynn is passionate about supporting mental health initiatives. Her journey with Norfolk and Waveney Mind began through Mental Health First Aider training—a challenging but transformative experience. Now, she’s eager to apply her trustee expertise to help strengthen our mission, especially in finance and governance. Lynn’s commitment to resilience and wellbeing in the sector makes her a valued advocate for mental health.

Rosalind Porter

Rosalind Porter is Head of HR and Training at Briar Chemicals, with over 15 years’ experience in senior HR roles. A Chartered CIPD member and Mental Health First Aider, she’s led initiatives promoting peer support and open conversations around mental health. Rosalind believes in kindness, connection, and psychological safety at work. Having lived in Norfolk for over 15 years, she joined Norfolk and Waveney Mind’s Board of Trustees to help strengthen its impact, bringing her HR expertise and people-focused approach to support mental health across the region.

Ruby Morris-Green

Ruby Morris-Green is a third-year law student at UEA, aiming to become a barrister in competition law. New to Norfolk, she finds balance through running and outdoor activities. Ruby’s personal experiences have sparked a deep commitment to improving young people’s mental health. She’s passionate about the role of education, community, and accessible support in empowering youth. As a board member, Ruby hopes to help shape meaningful change and ensure every young person feels heard, supported, and empowered to thrive.
