FAQ'S
We have some useful FAQs below, if you still have some questions please email our friendly fundraising team at [email protected]
Why do I have to pay a registration fee?
Charity running places for the London Marathon come at a cost to the charity, fundraising target and registration fees help ensure that Norfolk and Waveney Mind don’t lose out on our investment and are able to raise as much as possible to support our vital work supporting local people. Registration fees for charity places in events are non-refundable and non-transferrable. We cannot transfer places to another person or defer a place to the following year.
The registration fee, if successful, is £100.
Is there a deadline to reach the fundraising target?
We ask that if successful, 50% of the fundraising target (£1250) has been raised 3 months before the event (25th January 2027). We then ask that the full fundraising target of £2500 has been raised a month following race day (25th May 2027).
What happens if I don’t reach the £2500 target?
- We have set the minimum fundraising target of £2500 to make ensure we are able to cover the costs that we have paid for the place as well as allowing us to raise additional funds to support our vital services throughout Norfolk and Waveney supporting those who may be struggling with their mental health.
- You do not need to raise the full amount until 1 month after race day, we understand that a lot of donations come in throughout the following days after the race.
- We will be in touch and available throughout your fundraising journey to give fundraising tips and ideas.
- Please make sure you are confident you can raise the £2500 before you apply.
How are the places offered out?
- We will be reviewing each application anonymously before making a decision and letting successful applications know of the results. To improve your chances, please give us much information as possible as to why you want to support Norfolk and Waveney Mind and how you plan on raising £2500 within your application.
- We will be letting all applications, successful and unsuccessful know the outcome by 31st May 2026.
