Event Overview
Courtroom Countdown is a fundraising event organised by Norfolk and Waveney Mind. Participants agree to take part in a light-hearted, fictional “arrest” and courtroom experience to raise funds for local mental health services.
This event is being held at Norwich Castle in the Victorian Courtroom on Friday 6
th
November 2026.
Participation
Participants must be aged 18 or over, unless agreed otherwise in advance with organisers.
All participants must register in advance and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Fundraising Commitment
Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of £999 to secure their “release”!
Fundraising officially begins on Monday 19th October and will run right up until the day of the event, giving participants plenty of time to reach their £999 bail target.
Event Conduct
This is a fun, inclusive event. Participants must behave respectfully toward others at all times.
Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
Norfolk and Waveney Mind reserves the right to remove participants if necessary.
Health and Safety
Any accessibility or additional support needs should be shared in advance where possible.
Organisers will take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment.
Norfolk and Waveney Mind will provide the relevant information for internal risk assessments as well as communicating with Norwich Castle to ensure their risk assessments are suitable for the event.
Photography and Media
Photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes.
By attending, participants consent to being included in event communications on the day as well as any pre and post event photography and advertising, including but not exclusive to, social media, email newsletters etc.
Changes or Cancellation
Organisers reserve the right to change or cancel the event if necessary.
In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible.
If a participant withdraws from the event prior to the scheduled date, all funds raised will remain committed to Norfolk and Waveney Mind and are non-refundable.

Jury ticket purchases are also non-refundable.
