Sarah Barker

Location: Sparham NR9

I work with adults who experience anxiety around loss which can include:
Loss of childhood, a loved one, an abuser, a home, of innocence, a job, of independence, a relationship, of self-worth/self-belief/self-esteem, of safety, of connection, of the life you thought you would have but didn't.

What would it be like to understand your anxiety? To quieten those intrusive thoughts, to understand and build a positive relationship with your feelings and reduce the physical response to them? What would it be like to know the root cause of your anxiety? To reduce its power so you can live your life with it rather than be governed by it.

By working together, we will develop a relationship that will allow us to safely explore what is going on for you now and how your past relationships and/or experiences may be impacting your present. We will look at reconnecting your mind with your feelings and your physical response to those feelings so you can become a more wholesome you. Your own curiosity of yourself can deepen this process, to allow the growth and change within you and develop the relationship with your anxiety, self and others.

I work in The Garden Room which is a calm and relaxing space in a quiet corner of our garden. I also offer walk and talk sessions around the village of Sparham.

Our initial 50 minute session is £30
Thereafter, each 50 minute session would be £50

Tracey Woolf

Location: Norwich city centre

I trained in the person-centred approach and believe that we all have capacity for healing and growth, despite obstacles that might get in the way. I am and always have been passionate about people and relationships and think it is important to find a counsellor that you feel comfortable with and to know that you will not be judged but will be met with genuine acceptance and empathy.

As well as running a private therapy practice, I have many years of experience working in the voluntary sector, mainly in mental health and support settings so I am familiar with workplace trauma and the impact it can have on people’s lives.

I use pronouns she/her and have experience working with people exploring gender, sex and relationship diversity.

I work from a tranquil setting in the heart of Norwich and offer sessions either in person or online via Zoom.

£50 a session (60 minutes)

Does something need to change in your life? Would it help to talk it through? Being 'heard' is crucial to our development and ability to validate ourselves as worthwhile human beings.

I have worked with a diverse range of difficulties that people have presented, with very positive results. I am able to draw from a range of theories to suit your needs as an individual. Together through counselling, I can help you to understand yourself and develop your self-awareness, which will provide you with the opportunity for positive change in your life. I work with the person, not any label you may have been given or adopted.

If you are interested in working with me, do call, and we can arrange to meet for an assessment after which we can talk about whether working together would suit your needs.
