Pop‑Up Mental Health Support Launched Across the East Following Closure of Access Community Trust

| By Norfolk and Waveney Mind

Following the recent closure of Access Community Trust, Norfolk and Waveney Mind is stepping in to provide additional mental health support for communities across Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Waveney.

The charity acknowledged that many local people may be feeling uncertain or worried in the wake of the closure and has moved quickly to put extra wellbeing support in place.

On Friday, Norfolk and Waveney Mind shared an update outlining the impact on services and highlighting the support that remains available across the region. The full statement can be read here: https://rebrand.ly/hs9af8t

New Pop‑Up Drop‑In Sessions

To ensure people can continue accessing help when they need it, the organisation is running a series of pop‑up mental health drop‑in sessions over the next two weeks. These sessions have been created to offer immediate, friendly and accessible support within the community.

The pop‑up sessions provide:

  • A safe, welcoming space to talk
  • Friendly, face‑to‑face wellbeing support
  • Advice, information and signposting to further help

No appointment is needed, and anyone who feels they may benefit is encouraged to come along. The full timetable of dates, times and locations is available below.
