World Suicide Prevention Day took place on 10 September, but our Hope Lives Here campaign continues throughout September and beyond. Supporting suicide prevention, raising awareness and championing hope are embedded in everything we do, all year round.
By bringing together communities across Norfolk and Waveney, we aim to raise awareness of suicide prevention, reduce the stigma surrounding conversations about mental health and support, inspire hope in all its forms, and raise vital funds for local services.
Whether you've fundraised, donated, shared a message of hope, or simply started a conversation, thank you for helping us make a difference. As World Suicide Prevention Month continues, we'd love as many people as possible to get involved and help spread hope in whatever way feels right to you.
We know that suicide continues to have a devastating impact across our region. Approximately 90 people die by suicide in Norfolk each year, affecting thousands of family members, friends, colleagues, and members of the wider community.
Thank you to everyone who shared their own places and faces of hope during World Suicide Prevention Day. It was inspiring to see so many people joining our Chain of Hope, whether on social media using #HopeLivesHere or by displaying posters and sharing resources within their communities.
Creating a community of hope
Suicide prevention is much more than a single awareness day. It is something that should be considered, discussed, and championed every day, and it is embedded across all of our services.
Support is available, and no one should have to face mental health challenges alone. That's why we've created a range of resources to help you spread the message in your workplace, community space, school, organisation, or local area.
You can download our campaign posters and leaflets using the links below, or complete the form to request physical materials, including posters, stickers, and coasters.

Share what hope looks like to you
Hope can be found in people, places, activities, communities, pets, landscapes, and everyday moments of comfort, connection, and optimism.
Wherever you find hope, we'd love to see it.
Keep sharing your photos by tagging @norfolkandwaveneymind and using #HopeLivesHere, or send them directly to us via Instagram.
Every post helps challenge stigma, spark meaningful conversations, and remind people across Norfolk and Waveney that support is available and they don't have to face mental health challenges alone.
By filling social media feeds with positive stories, images, and messages of hope, we can help these messages reach people at the moment they may need them most.
Hope lives here. Across Norfolk and Waveney.
