Connect to Work (South Norfolk & Broadland) helps people who have challenges with finding or staying in work. We work in partnership with individuals, employers, and health services to build meaningful and sustainable working relationships.
 

How we support you into work

We understand that starting or returning to work is a big step. That’s why we’re with you every step of the way:

  • Confidence-building support to prepare you for employment
  • Matching you with the right employers  based on your interests and strengths
  •  Help with writing CVs and job applications that stand out
  • Job interview coaching  to help you feel ready and confident
  • Support with speaking to employers  about mental health and workplace adjustments
  • Advice about employment-related benefits and how work may affect your income

 

Is Connect to Work right for me?

Connect to Work is available to those who:
  • Live in Norfolk
  • Are aged 18 or over (16 or over, in some circumstances)
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Currently not in paid work and haven’t worked for the past 6 months
  • We can also support those who have been in work for at least 3 months but are at risk of losing their job.

We support people who may be facing one of the following challenges:

  • Physical or mild/moderate mental health condition 
  • Disability 
  • Learning difficulty  
  • Neurodivergence 
  • Carer, ex-carers and care leavers 
  • History of substance misuse 
  • Domestic abuse survivor 
  • Ex-offender 
  • Homeless or insecure housing 
  • Refugee or migrant facing integration challenges

  • Great Yarmouth: Shaw Trust
