DSL is a solo acoustic artist from Lowestoft. Singing heartfelt, honest and original compositions He wears his heart on his sleeve and invites you to join him on a journey of love, loss and more!
He is currently working hard writing and releasing a collection of original songs.
His Debut EP, featured covers of contemporary classics as well as DSL’s own interpretations of tracks by questionably his strongest influence, Jamie T.
Since this EP, DSL has released 6 original singles, a debut album, Songs From A Healed Heart, and a live EP, Love & Loss Live.
These records kicked off DSL’s emergence on the East Anglian Music Scene, you can catch him at shows and festivals in and around his hometown of Lowestoft over the coming months.
DSL works tirelessly on helping artists and venues in his hometown and is a big supporter of grassroots live music.

"I am a 21-year-old singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Suffolk/Essex border. I write tongue-in-cheek indie pop rock songs. I like to have fun with my songs and my live performances and hope they make you smile. Please don’t take my songs too seriously - because I don’t! They are cringe on purpose, it’s kinda my thing!
I won the Solo Female Award in 2022 and the Breakthrough Artist Award in 2024 at the NMG Awards (New Music Generator). These awards cover Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire so I am very flattered to have walked away with two of them so far. I was also named as ‘one to watch’ in 2023 by BBC Introducing in Suffolk & Norfolk.
Following on from my first solo headline gig at the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket in March 2025, I have had some great support from the local press (East Anglian Daily Times), with the review of the show having the headline “Grace Calver is pure indie brilliance”.
I have supported artists including The Lottery Winners, Alfie Templeman, Welly, PET NEEDS, Tom A Smith, GIRLBAND! King No-One, Apollo Junction, Low Girl, Gemma Rogers and many more."
