🎨 CALLING ALL LOCAL CREATIVES! 🖼️

We’re inviting artists, photographers, illustrators, and makers of all kinds to enter our open art competition for the chance to be featured in Norfolk and Waveney Mind’s 2026 charity calendar!

We’re looking for 12 original pieces that explore what mental health means to you.

We’re especially interested in art that reflects calm, safety, mindfulness, and emotional wellbeing. Whether that’s a peaceful landscape, a comforting moment, or something more abstract — we’d love to see how you express what it means to feel grounded and supported.

Whether it’s a painting, photograph, digital artwork, collage, mixed media — or anything in between — all styles are welcome! The only requirement is that your piece can be reproduced at A4 size (landscape).

Please note: Only one entry per person.

🗓️ If selected, your artwork will:
• Be featured in our professionally printed 2026 calendar
• You will receive a free copy of the calendar when printed.
• Be shared across our social media, website, and press.

This is open to everyone — all ages, all backgrounds, all abilities.

How to Enter:

Please send:
🎨 A high-quality image of your artwork
🎨 A brief description of your piece, and few words on what mental health means to you to fundraising@norfolkandwaveneymind.org.uk

To make sure your artwork looks its best in print, please send:
📸 A high-quality digital image (photograph or scan)
📸 Minimum resolution: 300 DPI
📸 Recommended image size: at least 3508 x 2480 pixels (A4 at 300 DPI)
📸 File format: JPEG, PNG, or PDF
📸 Make sure the image is clear, well-lit, and in focus, with no heavy shadows or reflections

If you’re unsure about the image quality, please feel free to get in touch — we’re happy to help!

Deadline for submissions: 25th August.

We’ll let you know if you’ve been successful by 8th September.

Judging:

Entries will be judged by a diverse panel including Norfolk and Waveney Mind service users, executive leaders, and trustees. This is to ensure a fair and inclusive selection process.

As a local, independent charity, we rely on projects like this to continue offering free mental health support across our communities — and your creativity could help make a real difference.

Let’s show how powerful it is to feel safe, calm, and connected. 💙
