Join us in the fight for better mental health, one step at a time!

Sign up to Norfolk and Waveney Mind’s Walking to Prevent Suicide Relay 2023, taking place from the 9th September - 1st October in support of those lives touched by suicide. 
 
How does it work?
Get together a team, choose a walking route in Norfolk and Waveney (we have some suggested routes on our website below), set a fundraising target and complete your walk between the 9th September and 1st October 2023. Each team member is invited to the candle light walk and will receive a Norfolk and Waveney Mind t-shirt.
 
Why take part?
Each year the demand for our services increases as more and more people seek support for their mental health. As Norfolk and Waveney’s leading mental health charity, we support thousands of local people every year through our wide range of services and support programmes. By taking part in this challenge you are helping us ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone, whilst also helping us to raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

Services that rely on funds raised from our supporters taking on challenges like this include our suicide prevention and complex bereavement services, which provide free suicide awareness and intervention training, 1:1 practical and emotional support for individuals bereaved by suicide and peer group support for those bereaved by suicide.
 
Challenges like this also provide a great opportunity for participants to come together, for teams to train together, to talk, to build a sense of community and forge friendships and bonds that last long way beyond the challenge itself.
