Have you experienced a bereavement during this pandemic?

Bereavement is a complex and multifaceted experience shaped by many different factors, such as culture and personal beliefs. It is therefore important to be able to grieve the loss of a loved one in a way that is right for you.

Norfolk and Waveney Mind is providing a support network for anyone over the age of 18 who has been bereaved during the pandemic.

Being bereaved during this time creates an added complexity due to the restrictions placed on society by lockdown, which means you may have been unable to be with someone, attend a funeral or grieve the way you might normally.

The bereavement does not have to be COVID-19 related. This support network can be accessed through one to one support or an 8-week group session.

The group offers a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment that provides a space to speak openly about your feelings and emotions, and an opportunity to meet others who have had similar experiences.

How we can help

Through self-referral and referral from GPs and other services we offer:

  • 1:1 support services.
  • Group sessions.
Our next group sessions start on Tuesday, 12th January 2021 from 10.30am - 12.30pm in Norwich city centre.
