We know that love, tolerance, respect and visibility are great for our mental health. That's why we're proud to support the LGBTQ+ community and Virtual Norwich Pride on Saturday 25th July 2020. Friday 29th November from 5.15-6.45pm in the Vernon Castle Room, Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library, in the Forum
Local mental health charity, Norfolk and Waveney Mind are working with LGBT+ choir Sing with Pride and the Norfolk Heritage Centre to organise an event called World AIDS Day: A Space to Talk and Remember. The event will provide a space to reflect on the AIDS crisis and the impact it had on us and our community – how we survived and how we remember those we lost. Materials from the Norfolk Heritage Centre’s LGBT+ Collection will available and we invite people to bring photos and objects of their own.
Staff from local mental health charity, Norfolk and Waveney Mind joined together with Evolve from MAP and St John the Baptist Church on Timberhill to organise a midday service, for Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to remember people who have died due to transphobic violence around the world.
