A Norwich cyclist will be pedalling through every village in Norfolk in a 5,000-mile challenge to support mental health and wellbeing in the county.
Matt Colley, known as Colo, will raise funds for Norfolk and Waveney Mind, Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, Sir Norman Lamb Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, Norwich Soup Movement, and The 12th Man over twelve months on two wheels.
He was inspired to take on the mammoth challenge after living with depression and anxiety for more than 20 years.
"I think it's vital that we strive to make Norfolk a more inclusive, open and understanding place," he said.
"As well as raising vital funds, I also want to raise awareness, and find out how else I might be able to help to aid mental health provision and inclusivity in the county."
Norfolk and Waveney Mind Fundraising Manager, Alex Haswell will be joining Colo for part of his journey across the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
She said: "We're thrilled that Colo has chosen to support us in his amazing personal challenge. I'm looking forward to getting out for some fantastic cycling with him, and talking to people about mental health along the way."
