A West Norfolk community has raised over £11,000 for Norfolk and Waveney Mind in memory of a much-loved teenager.
Katy Walker from Shouldham organised the fundraising effort after her best friend Emily Owen died at the age of 19 in March.
The whole village came together for a prize raffle held on the village green in the summer, with £4,480 raised to support Norfolk and Waveney Mind's mental health services.
Katy said: "There was lots of support from the village and people we did not know. People donated prizes and bought raffle tickets, and it seemed like everyone wanted to help which was just amazing."
The King's Arms pub, where Emily worked, has raised a further £7,000 through a JustGiving page in memory of the "beautiful, funny, charming and talented" teenager.
