10,000-foot skydive to thank Norfolk and Waveney Mind 26 February 2021 | Fundraising | By Norfolk & Waveney Mind A Wymondham man is marking his 50th year by raising hundreds of pounds in a fundraising skydive for Norfolk and Waveney Mind. Alec Stevenson will celebrate his half century by taking the leap on 19th June 2021 with a fundraising target of a thousand pounds. Alec said: “I’m supporting Norfolk and Waveney Mind because they are a charity that is shouldering a lot of the weight of the silent mental health pandemic. Never in this this generation has mental health provision been so important and the surge of people suffering because of the Covid epidemic is only adding to these problems.” Alec has struggled with his own mental health over 30 years and spent time receiving support in Norfolk and Waveney Mind’s residential accommodation in Norwich. “That helped me to stand on my own two feet and I was helped more by moving into a shared house and then a flat of my own,” he said. “Without this I don’t see how I could have moved forward from a difficult situation. “Fundraising for Norfolk and Waveney Mind has made me feel good about myself and my ability to give something back to help those who are struggling.” You can support Alec at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/alec-stevenson1 Share Tweet Share on WhatsApp
