Wymondham running group
On Thursday evenings, 6pm, meeting at Ketts Park (outside the main building), we run a friendly, all inclusive run club for people of any abilities. There is a run coach who plans the weekly runs to improve fitness, speed and technique. It is free to attend.
We aim to help people to get fitter and work towards their goals. Some of the club recently built up from couch to 10km and have now completed two 10km runs and attend park runs! Running is great for our mental health and everyone feels a great sense of achievement after the sessions.
We cater to all abilities and would love to see new faces there.
If you are from the area and experience mild to moderate mental health issues, come along to our friendly, informal running groups which are suitable for both beginners and more experienced runners alike.
We will support you with physios, equipment, and lots of encouragement from our volunteer “buddies,” many of whom run to maintain their recovery from mental health issues.
And there will also be the opportunity to train up as a Run Leader yourself!
