Mental Health Awareness

1 in 4 people will experience some form of mental distress during their lifetime. 

During this current pandemic, that number is likely to increase. That means you’re likely to know someone – a friend, family member or colleague – who is affected or to be affected yourself. 

The problem is there’s still a lot of stigma attached to mental health and people shy away from the issue. All too often when colleagues, friends or family are experiencing mental distress, they don’t feel comfortable talking about it. 

Course outline 
Our 3.5hr hour virtual training course Mental Health Awareness, will develop your understanding of mental health so that you feel confident in supporting people experiencing difficulty. It is suitable for anyone with an interest in mental health and/or supporting others. 

It uses a framework of evidence-based research to help delegates understand how and why poor mental health arises, how to support others, and how to foster good mental health. 
The course gives an opportunity for discussions relevant to the current COVID19 pandemic, and its effect more widely on our mental health. 
The course is delivered live by an experienced trainer and will provide opportunity for delegates to work alongside one another through a series of specially designed activities. It will of course include discussions and information relevant to the current pandemic. 

The course is three and a half hours in length, with 2 short coffee breaks throughout. 

Delegates must be able to attend the whole course.
