What is the Young People in Mind (YPiM) Service?

  • To support young people at the point of emerging mental health and emotional difficulties. Provide them with education and awareness of signs and symptoms, giving them coping strategies and tools to combat current and future life challenges they may face.
  • To help young people understand a diagnosis they may have received or previously had treatment for and despite this build a life that is meaningful to them.
  • To help young people engage with and maintain healthy relationships with peers, family members, and educators.
  • To Reduce the stigma attached to mental health and promote conversation and openness within a safe and secure environment.

Who is the Youth Service for?

The Youth Service is for young people from the age of 11 to 18 (inc) living in the Norfolk and Waveney area. We work in collaboration with young people to look at all the biopsychosocial elements, influences and contributing factors to find ways of supporting their overall wellbeing. We support people as they make sense of their experiences, helping them to identify the people, places and strategies that support their recovery.
