Zing into spring with a Fun-Raising Fortnight to support mental health

As spring approaches, we're inviting you to raise a smile, while raising much-needed funds to support mental health, with our first ever Fun-Raising Fortnight.

The event takes place from 15th to 28th March with six challenges to choose from - you'll find them all on this page with details of how to take part.

The challenges are all linked to the five ways to wellbeing (connect, be active, learn, give, be mindful) so they're a great way to give yourself a spring in your step too.

All the money raised will help us to ensure that nobody has to face poor mental health alone.

Choose your challenge

Challenge 1: S'Cool of Life

Why not offer to share your skills with colleagues, family and friends? Arrange some get-togethers over Zoom and charge a donation per person. Crochet a hat with your team, host an exercise class for your mates, level up your family's gaming skills - the sky's the limit!

Challenge 2: Three-Legged Day

You've got to know your household bubble pretty well over lockdown, so it can't be that hard to buddy up with them for a three-legged day, right? Be careful who you pick to partner with, though, as you are stuck with their annoying habits for the day!

Challenge 3: Styled Wild

Let the kids pick your outfit, do your makeup, and style your hair for the day (or however long you dare). Be sure to share your Justgiving page on all your virtual meetings and social media! Bonus points if they choose everything you wear to be blue for Norfolk and Waveney Mind!

Challenge 4: Fakeaways For Funds

Take cooking requests from your local family, friends and Facebook group in return for donations. Who wouldn’t love a doorstep delivery of homemade chocolate pud, vegetable korma, or the full roast dinner?

Challenge 5: No Phone, No Moan

Constantly scrolling through social media or glued to the news? Why not lock your phone away for a whole day and see if you can start to notice the small joys that might be there beyond technology?

Challenge 6: Yogathon

This challenge will stretch and relax you! Our lovely instructor Rosy has put together a series of ten-minute sessions with a new one for each day of the challenge. Do one a day or combine them for a longer session - whichever you prefer. You could donate for each session you take part in, ask for sponsorship to stick with your challenge, or both!
