Renegade Runners raise £200 for Norfolk and Waveney Mind
Renegade Runners held a Fun Run on Christmas Eve with proceeds going to Norfolk and Waveney Mind, in total raising £200. Founder Matt Pyatt said “running to help manage mental health is so worthwhile”. The group meet twice weekly- Tuesday’s at The Walks, King’s Lynn, 6.45pm and Wednesday’s at Lynnsport Running Track at 10am. They are always looking for new members, all ages and abilities welcome.

Quiz raises £5,000 for Norfolk and Waveney Mind Charity
A fundraising charity quiz, hosted by energy consultants Indigo Swan, has raised an impressive £5,000 for an inspirational Norfolk charity.
 
More than 165 guests attended the evening in aid of Norfolk and Waveney Mind, a charity who offer advice and support to those affected by mental health problems.
 
James Groves, Managing Director at Indigo Swan commented: “To see what started as a quiz by candlelight in a restaurant in Norwich with 30 people 5 years ago, grow to the amazing event we had last week is amazing! The support we see from the local business community grows every year and the impact it has on Norfolk & Waveney Mind is so rewarding to see.

The first Wednesday in November each year is National Stress Awareness Day. 

We all know what it’s like to feel stressed - being under pressure is a normal part of life. But becoming overwhelmed by stress can lead to mental health problems or make existing problems worse.

National Stress Awareness Day is a great opportunity to take a moment to think about our wellbeing and find advice or support on managing stress. We’ve got some suggestions for how you can join the conversation about stress.

Norwich organisations come together in ‘City of Wellbeing’ initiative
A collaborative initiative to support the emotional wellbeing of Norwich residents began on World Mental Health Day (10th October).

The ‘City of Wellbeing’ initiative brings together charities, religious organisations and local businesses in the city centre, that can lend a listening ear to people experiencing emotional distress.
